Lakhimpur Kheri: A shocking incident surfaced for Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur where a 19-year-old boy was allegedly murdered on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Amogh Seth. He was studying Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). A 22-year-old man with five of his friends reportedly thrashed the BBA student and then shot him dead after making him run for almost 500 metres, reported The Times of India.

As per the report, when the student entered a bookstore to save his life, the accused opened an indiscriminate firing at him. Seth died on the spot after being hit by a bullet in his chest. A shop assistant was also reportedly injured in the firing. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The accused has been identified as Anmol Puri. He is an advocate’s assistant. The deceased was the son of Bharat Seth, the owner of an electronics showroom in Lakhimpur city. Two people have been detained in connection with the case.

“The main accused has been identified as Anmol Puri alias Bala (22), an advocate’s assistant, and he is on the run. He was with four-five unidentified people. A murder FIR was registered against them. Two suspects have been detained,” SSP Sankalp Sharma told TOI.

As per the police official, there was a heated argument between Anmol and Amogh on Sunday. Seth allegedly insulted Puri. The 22-year-old accused decided to take revenge for his insult. The incident took place near the Mishrana police outpost in Lakhimpur Kheri district.

Police teams have been formed to nab the main accused. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
