The process of making bypass in Karnailganj in Uttar Pradesh has now intensified. 816.37 crore is estimated to be spent on the construction of this forelane bypass. The National Highways Authority has prepared the detail project report (DPR) and sent it to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Construction work of Fourlane bypass will be started as soon as approval from the ministry. This will give millions of people of Devipatan Mandal a comfort in the journey and reduce the congestion of traffic.

Problem of dilapidated bridge on Gonda-Lucknow highway

The bridge over the Saryu River on the Gonda-Lucknow Fourlane highway has now reached a dilapidated condition. The bridge was built in 1962 and now its condition has deteriorated. Thousands of vehicles travel from this bridge to Lucknow and Gonda every day. People are facing problems due to the dilapidated condition of this bridge. Apart from this, people also struggle with jam at Katra Shahbajapur and Jahangirwa railway crossings. To overcome these problems, the work of making bypass is now going on fast, which will improve traffic situation in these areas and provide relief to people.

Survey of National Highways Authority and approval of DPR

The survey has been completed by the National Highways Authority to construct a bypass and now DPR has been prepared. According to departmental officials, the total length of Fourlane bypass will be 14.10 km and about 8 billion 16 crore 37 lakh is estimated to be spent on its construction. The DPR has been sent to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and work will be started on this important project as soon as approval from there.
