The journey for passengers in Uttar Pradesh is going to be even more easy, especially for those who move between Yamuna Expressway and National Highway-19 (NH-19). Starting from Chhatikara, a new bypass plan to join Yamuna Expressway has been prepared, which will relieve thousands of people from traffic mess.
The scheme has been prepared by the Uttar Pradesh Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad, and its purpose is not only connectivity, but also to make the journey easier for the devotees. Let’s know all the important things related to this project.
What is the importance of bypass?
Till now, passengers going from Yamuna Expressway to National Highway-19 or from NH-19, Yamuna Expressway, had to pass through the city of Vrindavan. As a result, the journey became quite difficult due to traffic, jams and huge crowds of pilgrims.
With the help of this new bypass:
- There will be no need to enter Vrindavan.
- Devotees coming and going from both directions will get a direct and easy way.
- Traffic pressure will be less in Vrindavan city.
- Travel time and fuel expenses will save both.
Where will this bypass be built?
This bypass will start from 129.320 km of NH-19 and will connect at 101.200 km of Yamuna Expressway. That is, the way to go directly to Yamuna Expressway near Chhatikara on NH-19 will be prepared.
- Length: 15.40 km
- Total cost: ₹ 1645.72 crore
- Starting Point: NH-19 (Km 129.320)
- End Point: Yamuna Expressway (Km 101.200)
First bypass to connect Yamuna Expressway to NH-19
Till now there was no bypass on the Yamuna Expressway from Greater Noida to Mathura which was directly connected to the NH-19. That is, this will be the first bypass which will complete this very important connectivity gap.
Passengers will now get the option to catch the expressway directly stuck in a jam without any turn or city.
Vrindavan arrival will also be smooth
This bypass will not only be beneficial for those passing, but will also be helpful for the devotees who are coming with the intention of Vrindavan Darshan. With the bypass, the traffic will be diverted and the internal routes of Vrindavan will remain relatively empty.
- The journey of devotees will be peaceful and organized.
- Local people will also get relief from traffic.
- Tourism buses and private vehicles visiting Vrindavan will be able to enter easily.
Overall these benefits will be:
Benefit | Description |
---|---|
Decrease in travel time | There will be a direct route from NH-19 to Expressway. |
Relief from jam | Vehicles will be able to bypass Vrindavan city. |
Convenience to devotees | It will be easy to reach the pilgrimage center. |
Development will get a boost | Benefits of regional trade from better connectivity. |
Fuel saving | Reduction in cost from small routes and traffic prevention. |
What is the plan ahead?
This scheme of Uttar Pradesh Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad will soon go into the construction process after approval at the state government level. When this bypass is ready, it will give a new dimension to the infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh.
This project is not just a bypass, it is a symbol of the change that is a solid step taken towards making Uttar Pradesh smart, smooth and suited to devotees.
