Uttar Pradesh: New avatar of Jhakrakti bus stand in Kanpur: will be closed for three years

The Jhakrakati bus stand located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, which is the center of operating more than 1000 buses daily, is going to be closed for the next two to three years. This captive can affect passengers and business activities, as buses go to various states across the country. However, this captive will be for construction of a new and state -of -the -art bus station. The new Jhakarkati bus stand will be developed on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and it will emerge not only in Kanpur, but also as the most modern and convenient bus terminal in the whole of Uttar Pradesh.

Buses will run from temporary bus station

Till the closure of the Jhakarkati bus stand, passengers will have to resort to temporary bus stands. Temporary bus stands will be built in areas like Rawatpur, Sinner, Papers Factory. Buses from these places will be sent to various routes, so that the traffic system can run smoothly.

Jhakarkati bus stand: a major transport hub

Jhakarkati bus stand is the largest and busiest bus station in Kanpur, from where about 1050 buses operate daily. This base is a major center of travel between different areas of Kanpur and other cities of Uttar Pradesh. The newly developed bus stand will have 16 platforms with modern facilities, some of which will be for air conditions and some for non-AC buses.

Shocking bus station

The new bus station will have many new facilities for passengers, including malls, hotels, restaurants, multiplexes, super specialty clinics, kids zones and waiting rooms. Passengers will be shown on the time of bus movement and platform screen. In addition, special buildings and offices will be built here for employees, which will increase the functionality of this bus station.

Anticipated expenses and planning

About Rs 143 crore will be spent on this project. This bus base will also connect to the metro station in the future, which will enable another important connection of traffic. Different shades will be made for buses, where long distance and short distance buses will be kept separately, giving passengers more comfortable experience.
