Uttar Pradesh: Light earthquake in Gautam Budh Nagar, Gujarat and Telangana also affected

News India Live, Digital Desk: Uttar pradesh: Light earthquake tremors were felt in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh at 10:14 am on 7 May 2025. According to the National Earthquake Science Center (NCS), the intensity of the earthquake was measured at 1.9 on the Richter scale. Most people did not realize it and no loss of life and property has been reported due to extreme intensity.

Earthquake also occurred in Telangana

There was a 3.8 magnitude earthquake in Komaram Bhim Asifabad district of Telangana at 6:50 pm on 5 May 2025. However, no damage was reported from this.

3.4 magnitude earthquake in Gujarat

On 3 May 2025, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake was felt in Vav area of ​​Banaskantha district of Gujarat at 3:35 pm. Gandhinagar-based Institute of Sismological Research (ISR) reported that the center of the earthquake was located at a depth of 4.9 km in the east-east of about 27 km from the Vav area. There was no major loss here.

According to the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA), the state is in a highly sensitive area in terms of earthquake. Gujarat has faced nine major earthquakes in the last 200 years.
