The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday decided to increase the daily duty allowance of the Provincial Guard Party (PRD) personnel by about 26 percent. This decision was approved in the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. 35,000 PRD volunteers of the state will get the benefit of this growth.
26% increase in duty allowance
Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna informed the journalists and said that the allowance of PRD personnel has been increased from Rs 395 to Rs 500. At present, more than 34,000 PRD personnel are deployed in the state, and this increased amount will be received by everyone. Khanna also informed that a total of 15 proposals were made in the meeting of the Council of Ministers, out of which 13 were approved. In this meeting, the proposal to increase the duty allowance of PRD personnel was also approved.
Increased allowance will be implemented from 1 April 2025
The Finance Minister said that this increase of Rs 105 will be considered applicable from 1 April 2025. With this increase, an additional 75 crore 87 lakh 50 thousand rupees will be spent on the state government. There are a total of 34,092 PRD volunteers in the state, who will get the benefit of this increased amount. After the implementation of the proposal, their monthly duty allowance will increase by Rs 3150 on the 30 -day presence of PRD personnel.
