Recently, there were reports that Dipika Kakar has opted out of Sony TV’s Celebrity MasterChef due to health issues. But, neither the actress nor the channel have officially confirmed her exit. However, recently in an interview, veteran actress Usha Nadkarni, who is also a part of Celebrity MasterChef, confirmed Dipika’s exit from the show.
While talking to Aaj Tak’s Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan, she said, “Dipika ki tabiyat barabar nahi, uska kuch haath ka problem hai. Toh woh barabar nahi kar sakti isliye usne chhodh diya hai. (Dipika’s health is not good, she has some problem in hand. So, she can’t do it properly (cooking), that’s why she left.)”
The Pravitra Rishta actress further added, “Ek baar gayi thi woh, doctor ke paas jaane ke baad sab thik hogaya karke aayi, par fir uska chalu hogaya. Toh woh boli nahi aaungi. Usne woh socha aur boli main nikalti ho aur woh nikal gayi. Ek dusre ke saath sabki bonding achchi hai, matlab ek family hogayi hai. (She had gone once to the doctor and then she was fine, so she came back. But, again the problem started, so she said she won’t come, and decided to exit. We all have a good bonding and we are like a family).”
With Celebrity MasterChef, Dipika had made her television comeback and her fans were very happy about it. She was impressing the judges in the show with her cooking skills and was touted to be the winner. However, we are sure her fans are quite upset with her exit.
While earlier MasterChef used to happen with common people, this is the first season of the show with celebrities. This concept has been quite famous internationally, and now, it has come to India. A few days ago, 90s top actress, Ayesha Jhulka also entered the show as a wild card.
So, let’s wait and watch who will win the first season of Celebrity MasterChef.
