US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard arrived in India on an official visit and on Monday spoke on various issues related to Indo-US relations. In the annual Raisina dialogue of the think tank Observer Research Foundation (ORF) held in New Delhi, he said that there was a direct talks between the top leadership of India and the US over the tariffs imposed on various countries by US President Donald Trump.

He described it as a big opportunity to strengthen economic relations between India and the US. Tulsi Gabbard said, “It is clear from the discussion with Indian authorities in the last few days that India is watching the tariff imposed by the US as an opportunity. This can give further expansion to bilateral economic cooperation. ”

Tulsi Gabbard met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh during his visit to India. In this meeting, there was a discussion on strengthening the Indo-US strategic partnership and strengthening the system of defense and sharing intelligence.

After the meeting, Rajnath Singh posted on social media and said, “I was happy to meet the American National Intelligence Head. We discussed ways to further strengthen the Indo-US defense partnership and share intelligence information. ”

Meeting between NSA Ajit Doval and Tulsi Gabbard

Earlier on Sunday, bilateral talks took place between National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Tulsi Gabbard. Apart from this, he also presided over a conference of top intelligence officials around the world. No official statement was issued regarding this dialogue, but it is believed that it was believed to share intelligence and increase cooperation to deal with the dangers arising from terrorism and emerging technologies.
