WASHINGTON: The speech contest between the two contenders for the US presidency, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, which eventually turned into a war of words, was generally reported by the US media because Kamala, who appeared calm throughout the contest, was able to deliver a direct and clear message, while Donald Trump looked angry and constantly on the defensive.

This speech competition org.sed by ABC News lasted for 90 minutes.

This was not Trump’s first contest. He had earlier faced Joe Biden. Biden’s performance was criticised and most media declared Trump the winner.

This time the dynamics had completely changed. Kamala appeared calm throughout the contest and gave a direct and clear message, while Donald Trump remained angry and constantly on the defensive.

The conclusions given by the American media in this regard are as follows:

(1) Politico: It has clearly declared Kamala the winner. Vice President lashes out at Trump for “bile”, shaking him down.

(2) CNN: Central News Network also gave a similar opinion. It is being said that Kamala has won the speech competition, but this victory is not small but very big. In this competition which lasted for 1 hour 45 minutes, almost everyone was seen losing to Trump on every point.

(3) The Washington Post: In that race, Trump often lost sight of hard reality and kept repeating the same old talking points about immigrants and the 2020 election.

(4) New York Times: Harris gave brief, quick and clear answers, while Trump appeared angry and defensive.

(5) Fox News: This news org.zation gave somewhat mixed reactions. They said Harris was assisted by two ABC News moderators, or why? This should be investigated in detail. But as much as can be said, Kamala appeared victorious. While Trump appeared more frustrated and (mentally) more divided as the race progressed.

(6) MSNBC: We also declared Kamala the winner, saying, “The Vice President looked healthy, fit and certainly fit for the presidency throughout the competition.”

(7) Wall Street Journal: Vice President Harris put former President Trump on the defensive. She also teased Trump about viewership numbers, as well as lied (even to the judiciary), which enraged him. To put it bluntly, Harris is the front-runner for the top of the ticket (presidency).
