UPTET and PGT Recruitment Exam 2025: Important dates
Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Selection Commission has announced to conduct written examination for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor (Assistant Professor) and Lecturer (PGT).
- Exam Date:
- Assistant Professor Exam: 16 February 2025 and 17 February 2025.
- TGT Exam: 04 April 2024 & 05 April 2024.
- PGT Exam: 10th April 2025 & 11th April 2025.
- Admit Card Release Date:
Admit cards will be made available 10 days before the examination, i.e. in the first week of February 2025.
13 lakh candidates waiting for exam calendar
Around 13 lakh candidates who want to become teachers in Uttar Pradesh are waiting for the announcement of exam dates. The Commission has instructed the officials of all the districts to prepare the list of examination centres.
What is the truth of the viral notice?
On November 28, 2024, Commission Chairman Kirti Singh held a meeting with district officials. After the meeting, it was decided that the detailed schedule of the examination will be released soon. According to media reports, TGT and PGT examinations can be conducted between January 5, 2025 to January 15, 2025.
Exam Format and Conducting Process
- Exam Format:
The exam will be multiple choice questions (MCQs). - Exam Centre:
Will be held only in Government Inter College and Government Degree College. - Number of Exam Shifts:
Maximum 5 lakh candidates will take the exam in one shift. Due to more candidates, the exam will be conducted in more than two shifts.

Rajasthan REET 2025
- Exam Advertisement Released: 25 November 2024.
- Online Application Start: 01 December 2024.
- Exam Date: February 2025.
- Requirement: It is mandatory to qualify the REET exam.
Haryana HTET 2025
- Online Application Start: 04 November 2024.
- Last date of application: 14 November 2024.

- TGT & PRT Exam: 08 December 2024.
UPTET Exam: Date and Guidelines
- Exam Format: Offline (OMR based).
- Conducting Shift: The examination will be conducted in two or more shifts.
- Maximum candidates per shift: 5 lakh.
