The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final list of candidates recommended for appointment through the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2024. Following the preliminary examination held on February 18, 2024, and the main examination on June 22 and 23, 2024, successful candidates are now selected for various roles in the Geological Survey of India and the Central Ground Water Board.
Number of vacancies
A total of 146 vacancies across multiple positions will be filled as part of this recruitment process. These positions include:
– Geologist Group ‘A’
– Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology) Group ‘A’
– Geophysicist Group ‘A’ / Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics) Group ‘A’
– Chemist Group ‘A’ / Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical) Group ‘A’
The final result includes 14 candidates who have been provisionally recommended. These candidates must submit any outstanding original documents for verification within three months of the final result announcement. Failure to submit the required documents within the specified time will lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
