UPSC 2025 Notification Released:Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Civil Services Examination 2025. This examination is conducted to select officers for IAS, IPS, IFS and other services. Interested candidates can apply from 22 January 2025. The application process will be online and for this the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in will go on.

Application Process and Fees
- Application can be made through online mode only.
- The application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates has been fixed at ₹100.
- SC, ST, PH and women candidates are exempted from application fee.
- The application fee can also be deposited till 11 February 2025.

- Educational qualification,
- For IAS, IPS and other services: Graduate degree from a recognized university.
- For IFS: Bachelor’s degree in subjects like Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Statistics, or Zoology.
- age limit,
- Minimum Age: 21 years (as on 1 August 2025).
- Maximum Age: 32 years.
- There is a provision for relaxation in age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
form of examination
UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages:
- preliminary examination,
- This is a screening test.
- Candidates successful in this will be eligible for the main examination.
- main exam,
- There is a written examination in this.
- Candidates successful in the main examination will be called for interview.
- Interview,
- Final selection will be made after the interview.
- Selected candidates will be appointed to civil services.

- Submit the application fee (if applicable).
- Submit the application form and take printout.
Preliminary Exam Date and Further Process
The preliminary examination will be held on 25 May 2025. The candidates who are successful in this will be called for the main examination. After this, final selection will be done on the basis of main examination and interview.
Reservation and age relaxation
Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) are given relaxation in age limit and application fee. Apart from this, EWS and women candidates are also exempted from the application fee.
