Baghpat: A shocking incident surfaced in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district where a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader died after consuming weight loss medicines. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Furkan. He reportedly ordered a medicine to reduce his weight following advertisements on Facebook and YouTube.
However, after taking medicine, the SP leader’s health deteriorated. His kidneys got damaged leading to his untimely demise. He was a resident of the Mata Colony of the Kotwali area.
According to NDTV India’s report, the medicine was a powder of carom seeds, fennel and cumin seed. Furkan consumed the powder after mixing it with water for almost seven months. However, he fell ill. Doctors told him that his kidney got damaged due to the consumption of wrong medicines and advised him to undergo dialysis.
As per Furkan’s relative, the SP leader started losing some weight, but after some months his health started worsening. The SP leader and his family did not follow doctor’s advice of dialysis. Furkan started taking ayurvedic medicines, Furkan’s relative told reports.
When the SP leader’s condition deteriorated, he was also taken to Delhi for better treatment. However, he could not be survived. His entire area was shocked at the untimely demise of the leader.
Notably, doctors always advised not to take medicines without a proper prescription as these were not prepared after carrying out proper experiments.
