Yogi Adityanath said, “Roads are for walking and those who are saying so… they should learn discipline from Hindus.” 66 crore people came to Prayagraj… There was no loot, nor arson, nor tampering, nor sabotage, nor kidnapped, this is the discipline, this is religious discipline. Millions of Hindus revered in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, participated in Mahasanan and then left for their destination. Festivals and celebrations or any such opportunity should not become a medium of misconduct. If you want the facility then learn to follow discipline.

Ban on offering Namaz on roads in UP

Following the instructions of the UP government on the occasion of Eid, the police of all the districts had issued an order that namaz would not be performed on the roads and such programs would be organized only at the designated places. The Meerut Police had issued a directive saying that this year Eid prayers in the city will be limited to the nearest mosques and the designated places like Faiz-e-Aam Inter College grounds. Following this instruction of the state government, Muslim religious leaders have also appealed to the people to offer Eid prayers at the designated places.

Waqf has become the center of personal selfishness: CM Yogi

Answering a question on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, Yogi Adityanath said that reform is the demand for times. He said, ‘Every good work is opposed. Similarly, there is an uproar on the Waqf Amendment Bill. I want to ask those who are creating a ruckus on this issue… Has the Waqf Board done any welfare? Keeping everything aside, has Waqf done a good job for Muslims? Waqf has become the center of personal interest.

It has become a means of forcibly occupying any government property and there is a demand for improving time. Every amendment is opposed. We should be prepared for such reforms according to the country, time and situation. I think the Muslim community will benefit the most from the amendment of Waqf law.
