News India Live, Digital Desk: There is huge resentment for the electricity workers of Uttar Pradesh not getting the salary for the month of April. Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam has ordered to stop the salary of about 2000 employees who did not register through the facial attendance system. The Electricity Employees Joint Conflict Committee has raised strong objection to this order.
Describing it as dictatorial, the convenor of the committee, Shailendra Dubey, said that a seven -day gradual fast has started in protest against privatization at Shakti Bhawan in Lucknow from Friday. Employees demand that the removed contract employees be restored and withdrawal of salary payment should be withdrawn.
On the first day, the central office bearers of the Sangharsh Samiti along with the General Secretary of the Uttarakhand Electricity Engineer Association, Rahul Channa and other engineers also sat on hunger strike. Electricity engineers of Madhya Pradesh, Kanpur and Kesco will also reach Lucknow on Saturday to join the movement.
Jitendra Singh Gurjar, Ajay Kumar, Mahendra Rai, PK Dixit, Suhail Abid, Srichand, Mo. Wasim, DK Mishra, Chhoti Lal Dixit, Ram Sahara Verma, KS Rawat, Hardev Tiwari, Ram Niwas Tyagi, Kilendra Singh Chauhan, Amitabh Sinha, Prem Nath Rai etc. were included.
Shailendra Dubey also described the decision to make Director Finance Nidhi Kumar Narang to make a advisor to expand service. He alleged that the Director is playing the lead role in corruption under the guise of financial privatization. Anti -privatization bike rally will also be held in Lucknow on Saturday.
