News India Live, Digital Desk: Up: The government has started a major initiative to improve the traffic system in Aligarh city. Under the third phase of the Chief Minister-Green Road Infrastructure Development Scheme, a proposal has been sent to the government to widen eight major roads of the city. About ₹ 300 crore will be spent on this scheme.
Quarcy bypass road will be widened from Rs 17 crore
The bypass road from Quarcy intersection to Kyampur turn will be widened up to three meters. The route will be expanded at a cost of Rs 17 crore. Currently this road is only seven meters wide, causing heavy jam due to passing 20 to 25 thousand vehicles per day. The road is connected to four major national highways, including Aligarh-Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Moradabad and Kanpur Roads.

Road construction will be done with modern technology:
Along with road widening, pavement, R lighting and drains will also be constructed. Senior Municipal Corporation officials have done physical verification of these roads, ensuring transparency of the project. Modern construction techniques will increase the quality and sustainability of these roads.
Land acquisition and line shifting:
The process of land acquisition and removal of high -tension lines is being started for road widening. For this, permission and NOC are being taken from the concerned departments.
Fourlane Road Proposal:
PWD has also sent a proposal to make the road a fourlane up to Quarcy bypass, Etah Chungi, Kamalpur and Anupshahar. However, this proposal is currently pending due to the NOC process.
