Lucknow: Large mistakes have been revealed in the admit cards issued to the candidates of UP Board. The themes of many students have changed, while some names, parents’ names and gender have also been found in errors. The subject for which the candidates prepared throughout the year, now they are worried about the sudden change before the examination.

Students, parents and schools say that they had given the correct information while filling the board form, but their entire year could be ruined by the mistake of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council. In Lucknow, 1.03 lakh students studying in more than 750 secondary schools will appear in the UP board examination this time, which is starting from 24 February 2025.

Students and schools complained

On Saturday, more than 50 schools lodged a complaint of changes in the subject, gender and name of the students at the DIOS office located at Government Jubilee Inter College, Lucknow.

Complained schools include:

  • Lucknow Cambridge Inter College, BKT
  • Deffodils Convent Inter College, Indira Nagar
  • Mahatma Memorial School, Thakurganj
  • Lucknow Convent Inter College, LDA Colony
  • Iram convent college
  • Shyam chandra convent college
  • UBA School

Changes in students’ gender

  • Divyansh, a high school student of Naveen Montessori School, was made from the gender man to female. The school has given a letter to change the gender in the DIOS office.
  • Complaints of changes in the names of parents of many other students have also been reported.

Students upset due to changing the subject

  • Harshita, 10th student of Bright Sun Public Inter College, read home science throughout the year, but Sanskrit subject is recorded in the admit card.
  • A high school student studied computer, but Sanskrit is recorded in the admit card.
  • Rupali, a student of Loyla Public School, the subject of Rupali was made mathematics instead of home science.
  • The topics of Nisha and Parveen Ban, 10th girl students of National Inter College have also been changed.

The board gave a chance to improve

The Secondary Education Council had given time to schools to improve the subject, gender and name errors. However, the information of many students has still not improved. Now new complaints will be sent to the council so that they can be resolved.

Students and parents are extremely upset with this disturbance, because if there is no improvement before the examination, the marksheet and certificates can also be released with these mistakes.
