Actress and social media sensation Uorfi Javed slammed an oral hygiene brand for approaching her team with an idea for an advertisement and asking if she was “open to strip”. The actress lashed out at the brand and threatened the officials of dire consequences.
On Tuesday, Uorfi took to her Instagram stories to share the screenshot of an e-mail sent by the oral care brand, Perfora. “We had a script for Uorfi, Will she be open to strip?” the e-mail read.
She also shared another screenshot of a WhatsApp chat, in which when the member of Perfora’s team was asked what did they mean by stripping, the person replied, “Strip that down”.
Along with the screenshot, Uorfi wrote, “This is crossing every line imaginable @perforaofficial In all my experiences with brands, I’ve never encountered something so invasive. My team will be reaching out. Prepare yourself for the consequences (sic).”
This is not the first time that Uorfi has courted such a controversy. The actress is often seen naming and shaming those questioning her sartorial choices. She had once also opened up about getting rape and death threats for her bold fashion and quirky dressing sense.
On the work front, Uorfi was recently seen as a mentor in the reality web series, Playground. Before that, she gave her fans a peek into her life with the show, Follow Karlo Yaar. The actress has also been a part of shows like Puncch Beat Season 2, Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania, Meri Durga and Bepannaah among others. Besides, she was also one of the participants on Bigg Boss OTT.
