Abhijeet Bhattacharya, a renowned playback singer in Bollywood, recently took a dig at Punjabi singers Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla, claiming they only dance during their concerts instead of singing. He also stated that his his children will never spend money on Diljit or Karan’s shows.

In an interview with Zoom, Abhijeet said that he has been doing concerts since he was a kid. He highlighted that legendary artists like Lata Mangeshkar held shows where the audience would sit and immerse themselves in each song wholeheartedly.

“Even in my shows, people are seated to enjoy the performance and they clap for me. That is called a concert. Jinki baat ho rahi hai (Diljit, Karan), voh gaate nahi hai, sirf dance karte hai. Pehle superstars dance karte the mere gaanon pe, ab American stars bhi karte hai,” he added.

Abhijeet stated that during shows, auditorium would get houseful. Further, taking a dig at Diljit and Karan, he asked him to perform their concerts in Kolhapur. He added, “Koi ticket nahi kharidega. Inka naam suna nahi hoga toh iska matlab yeh hai ki voh log backward hai? Mere ghar pe tickets pade rehte hai inke concerts ke. My kids distribute it among others. Mere bacche kabhi paise dalke ticket nahi lenge.”

“I believe aaj agar koi trend kar raha hai toh kal koi aur karega. Abhi avocado chal raha hai, kal muli hoga. Agar aap mujhe avocado doge toh main nahi khaunga. Mujhe inke beech rehna hi nahi hai,” he concluded.
