Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received a special birthday gift from his son Kartikey Singh Chouhan and daughter-in-law Amanat Bansal on March 5.
Notably, the day marked both Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s birthday and the engagement of Kartikey and Amanat, making the occasion even more special.
“This is from Kartikey and me to our Papa ji,” Amanat said as she presented ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’ to Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The minister smilingly accepted the gift from the newest member of the Chouhan family.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared that receiving Shri Ramcharitmanas was an emotional moment for him. He said, “it is a priceless gift that reflects the cultural and moral values of Indian society.”
He also recalled a well-known verse from Ramcharitmanas —
“Parahit saris dharam nahi bhai”
(There is no greater religion than helping others) —
and said he has always tried to follow this teaching in his life.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan further said that this gift made him feel that the values and teachings given to his children are being carried forward.
