Indore/Mhow (Madhya Pradesh): Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari will arrive in the city on Thursday for a daylong visit. He will inspect the progress of NHAI road projects and hold a review meeting with the officers.
According to the official schedule, he will arrive from New Delhi and directly from the airport he will undertake an aerial inspection of Indore-Khandwa National Highway. He will particularly inspect Tejaji Nagar-Balwara 4-lane section of NH347BG.
Later, he will reach Pithampur to inaugurate the 18th season of BAJA SAEINDIA, a premier collegiate engineering competition. The event will take place at National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX).
During his visit, Gadkari will tour the Experience Centre and the High-Speed Test Track at NATRAX and observe a demonstration of road barrier crash testing at 11:40 am.
Following this, he will inaugurate BAJA SAEINDIA 2025, which includes a road safety oath-taking ceremony led by Rama Shankar Pandey and Sivakumar Sudha Chandran. In the afternoon, he will visit Nath Temple in the Tukoganj area. In the evening, he will hold a meeting with NHAI officers and thereafter leave for Nagpur.
