He added that there were no medical facilities available on the island where the incident took place. So, with the help of the Air Force, she was airlifted to Port Blair late at night and then to Pune by air ambulance.
On Lohapatre’s arrival at Pune airport, Mohol said he informed the authorities to create a green corridor for the ambulance to reach Poona Hospital. As a result, within 13 minutes, the ambulance reached the hospital from the airport.
Lohapatre is now undergoing treatment at Poona Hospital, and her first surgery has been successful, informed the Pune MP. She had suffered a severe head injury and had internal bleeding.
Just a few days ago, Mohol helped a couple from Pimpri-Chinchwad who were injured in an accident in Phuket return home.
He shared that a couple from Bhosari, Shubham Phuge and his wife Siddhi, were injured while playing on a swing in Phuket. They had gone on vacation with another couple from the city.
Mohol wrote, “I learned about the accident through the relatives of the injured couple. Immediately, my department took appropriate action, obtained the necessary permissions and brought the couple safely to India. Coordinating with the airlines, stretcher arrangements were made for them on the flight. All systems were implemented on a war footing to bring them back to India. With the help of a sensitive administration and effective systems, they were successfully treated at Sancheti Hospital in Pune.”
