Bhopal/Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is on a two-day visit to Gwalior, met six-year-old Shivay Gupta and his family on Saturday. Shivay was abducted in broad daylight on February 13 but was later rescued after swift police action forced the kidnappers to abandon him in Morena’s Kazi Basai village.

Scindia had earlier assured the family via video call that he would visit them soon. Fulfilling his promise, he reached the residence of sugar trader Rahul Gupta in Murar’s CP Colony, where he interacted with Shivay and his family. The minister praised the child’s courage, stating, “This brave boy will grow up to be a gem of our state. Facing such adversity at such a young age is truly commendable.”

According to information, during the visit, Scindia spoke with Shivay’s mother, Aarti Gupta, to understand the harrowing details of the kidnapping. He assured her that all the culprits would be arrested and that such incidents would not be repeated. “Five of the seven accused have already been caught, and the remaining two will be nabbed soon,” he stated.

Expressing gratitude, Aarti Gupta said, “Maharaj’s visit to our home is an honor. He had promised that my son would return safely, and he kept his word. He has assured me that all the culprits will face strict punishment so that no other mother has to endure such trauma.”
