Washington DC: The White House on Friday witnessed Ukrainian President Zelenskyy’s heated clash with US President Trump and Vice President Vance. Ukraine Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova’s reaction during the heated diplomatic clash between Zelesnkyy and Trump went viral.
Markarova was disappointed as Trump criticised the Ukrainian President. Trump warned Zelenskyy that he was “gambling with millions of lives” and suggesting his actions could trigger World War III”.

Earlier in the day, Trump and Zelenskyy met for talks at the White House. Vance was also present in the meeting. During the meeting, a heated exchange took place between the Ukrainian president and Vance. Trump then shouted at Zelsnskyy. and warned that his action could take the world on the verge of World War III.
During the meeting Zelenskyy expressed urged scepticism about Russia’s commitment to diplomacy. It began with Vance telling Zelenskyy, “Mr. President, with respect. I think it’s disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media.” Zelensky tried to object, prompting Trump to raise his voice and say, “You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people.” “You’re gambling with World War III, and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country that’s backed you far more than a lot of people say they should have,” Trump said.
After the meeting, Trump, in a post on Truth Social said that Zelenskyy “disrespected America”. “I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace,” Trump said on Truth Social.
Trump and Zelensky had been scheduled to give a joint presser at 1 p.m. following the signing of a framework mineral agreement, but the pre-planned arrangements were cancelled due to a showdown involving Trump, Zelensky and Vice President JD Vance.
However, the Ukrainian President refused to apologise.
