56 types of butter will be offered

Banke Bihari’s birth anniversary is on 6th December.
In the procession of Vihar Panchami, women will take the form of Gopis and reach Banke Bihari temple carrying 56 pots of butter on their heads. The Prakatyotsav of Banke Bihariji will be celebrated on Vihar Panchami on 6th December.
Mahabhishekam will be held on Vihar Panchami
A devotee serving the temple told that like every year on Vihar Panchami, Mahabhishek will be done with Panchamrit at 5 am in the morning at the darshan place of Thakurji and Mohanbhog will be offered. After singing the felicitation in the morning, a procession will be taken out. In the afternoon, 56 types of butter will be offered in Rajbhog.
Damru attraction of Ujjain
Ujjain’s Damru will become the center of attraction. After the city of Mahakal, now the auspicious sound of Jhanj-Damru will be heard in Brajbhoomi also. On the birth anniversary of Thakur Banke Bihari, Bhasma Ramaiya Bhakta Mandal of Ujjain will perform Aarti in Vrindavan. There will be a special display of cymbals and manjirs by a group of devotees in the procession.
