Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The former BJP MLA and state vice-president Bahadur Singh Chauhan was reportedly beaten up by party workers in Ujjain’s Mahidpur after he forced his way on to the stage.

It is alleged that tensions had been brewing within the BJP in Mahidpur due to certain internal disputes. Due to the same, the party workers did not invite Chauhan in the programme, which was attended by Ujjain’s in-charge minister Gautam Tetwal and MP Anil Firojia.

The ex-MLA arrived at the programme and started misbehaving with the workers. He forced his way to the stage, which led to a violent clash between him and the party workers.

The incident came to the fore through a video which captured the clash. The video shows MLA Chauhan being surrounded by a crowd indulged in an altercation.

According to sources, the MLA had an inappropriate behaviour towards the party members which made them go against him. They alleged that the MLA is habitual of harassing and mistreating them.

The disappointed party workers also made several complaints to the senior leaders against MLA Chauhan but all of it went in vain.

They went on saying, ”They did report his misbehaviour to the senior party leaders multiple times but Chauhan’s conduct did not change.”
