Mumbai: Responding to the recent vandalisation of the studio, Habitat Comedy Club in Khar, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has issued statement in a recent press conference.
The statement came over controversy centring Kunal Kamra’s recent standup special, Naya Bharat, where the comedian called Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde ‘gaddar’ (traitor).
In the recent press conference, Uddhav Thackeray showed support towards Kunal Kamra and urged reporters to play the video and listen to the song sung by stating that in his belief he (Kunal Kamra) hasn’t spoken lie, “if calling a traitor, traitor is wrong then erase Satyamev Jayate and write ‘Gaddar Jayate’ instead,” Thackeray stated.
When asked about Shiv Sena’s vandalisation at the Khar studio of Habitat Comedy Club, Thackeray stated that it is a work of ‘Gaddar Sena’ and not Shiv Sena.
