The Under-14 girls Rugby team of St. Xavier’s High School, Vapi, has achieved a remarkable milestone by clinching the gold medal at the State-Level Rugby Tournament held in SAI Gandhinagar. The event was organized on November 26 to 28, 2024 which witnessed 15 teams from different district of Gujarat for their enthusiastic participation from teams across the state.

The tournament witnessed outstanding teamwork and determination from the girls, who represented Valsad district with determination and skill. The victorious team comprised the following talented players: Ms. Arushi Singh, Ms. Tanisha Ranjan, Ms. Aayusha Singh, Ms. Palakshi Parida, Ms.Rachna Patil, Ms. Nishita Patil

The team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, strategy, and resilience throughout the competition, dominating the field in every match. In the final, they faced a strong opponent but showcased outstanding performance to secure the championship title

This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the guidance and support of the school principal, Ms. Salma Pathan, who consistently encourages students to excel in academics and sports. Special thanks also go to the Valsad Rugby Coach, Ms. Rupal Bhanushali, whose dedicated coaching played a pivotal role in this success.

The win has inspired other young athletes in the region and brought pride to their community. This gold medal victory has set a high benchmark for future tournaments.
