A serious violent incident occurred at a high school in Antop Hill, Mumbai, on January 6, 2025, around 7:15 AM, during a Class 10 examination.

According to the police, a dispute arose between two Class 10 students, both aged 15, over seating arrangements on a bench. During the altercation, one student, identified as a child in conflict with the law, used a knife to stab the other student in the abdomen, back, and hand, causing severe injuries.

A third student, who attempted to intervene and resolve the fight, was also stabbed in the back by the same student. Both injured students are currently receiving treatment at Sion Hospital. The police have detained the 15-year-old student responsible for the stabbing.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the attacker, in a fit of rage, used a knife from his school bag to assault his classmates, leaving both severely injured.

The Antop Hill Police were immediately informed and have detained the accused. Security personnel have been stationed at the school for safety purposes, and a formal case has been registered.

Police officials are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, while parents and residents have raised concerns over safety and security measures in schools.
