While the news of major plane accidents in South Korea and Azerbaijan is still fresh, such a major accident was almost averted at Los Angeles Airport in America. Two planes escaped collision at this airport. A major accident was averted due to the alertness of Air Traffic Control (ATC). A video of the incident also surfaced, in which it is clearly visible that due to a delay of a few seconds, many people could have lost their lives. Lime Air-Lines Flight 563 landed at Los Angeles Airport and was about to cross the runway when a private plane carrying the Gonzaga University of Washington basketball team was also taking off. Both the planes came very close. ATC immediately asked the Lime Airlines plane to stop and the two planes continued to collide. America’s Federal Aviation Administration has ordered an investigation into the entire matter.
