Satna (Madhya Pradesh): Two children, aged 8 and 10, were brutally beaten publicly over suspicion of wire theft in Madhya Pradesh’s Maihar on Friday.
The incident was reported at Amarpatan area in Maihar district.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the little boys crying and pleading to be let go while being scolded with abusive language. The men in the video were reportedly heard hurling very harsh abuses and making religious slurs.

The incident reportedly occurred near the National Highway-30 bypass in Amarpatan.
The accused not only assaulted the boys but also recorded the act. However, the exact date of the incident is still unclear.
According to information, the children, who live in Amarpatan’s old settlement, are orphans.
They stay with their elder sisters and work at a local hotel to support themselves, financially.
Police Action
After the video went viral, the Amarpatan police initiated an inquiry.
SDOP S.K. Singh said both boys have been called for questioning.
Based on their statements, the accused will be identified, and strict action will be taken.
Meanwhile, some locals are planning to submit a memorandum to the SDOP, protesting the incident and demanding justice for the children.
