A female tourist and her instructor died in a paragliding accident in Goa. Police informed that this accident happened in Kerry village at around 5 pm on Saturday evening. Pune resident Shivani Dable and her instructor Sumal Nepali died after falling into a ravine while paragliding in the Kerry plateau. Instructor Nepali was 26 years old and was a Nepali citizen. This accident happened in the northern region of Goa.
The police officer said that the adventure sports company with which Dable had booked for paragliding was operating illegally. According to the complaint, the paraglider fell into a ravine shortly after take off, killing both of them on the spot. In this matter, a case has been registered against the company owner Shekhar Raizada in Mandrem police station and he will soon be taken into custody and interrogated.
Two more deaths related to paragliding in Himachal
Two tourists died in two paragliding-related accidents in Kangra and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh within 24 hours. Police officials said that both these tourists belonged to Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Bhavsar Khushi, a resident of Ahmedabad, died after falling while paragliding at the Indrunag paragliding site near Dharamshala. The pilot also fell with them and was seriously injured. Kangra Assistant Superintendent of Police Veer Bahadur said that the pilot has been sent to Tanda Medical College for treatment, and the case is being investigated from all aspects.
In another incident, a 28-year-old tourist from Tamil Nadu died while the pilot was seriously injured while paragliding near Garsa landing site in Kullu district.
