Datia (Madhya Pradesh): The court of First Additional Sessions Judge Manjusha Tekam has pronounced the verdict in a five-year-old murder case of Datia on Friday. The court has convicted three men—two brothers and their friend—in the murder of their sister’s father-in-law.
The three convicts are identified as Kamal Singh Yadav, a resident of Larayta, and Angad Yadav and K.P. Yadav.
The case dates back to August 13, 2020, when Kamal Singh Yadav, a resident of Larayta, left home with Angad Yadav and K.P. Yadav on the pretext of buying a buffalo. When they did not return home till late at night, the family enquired among relatives. Four days passed, and no clue regarding their location or well-being could be found. Worried, their family approached the Chirula police station and filed the missing complaint.
During the investigation, the police arrested the main accused, Angad Yadav, K.P. Yadav, and their friend Shivam Yadav. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused, Angad Yadav and K.P. Yadav, had called their sister’s father-in-law, Kamal Singh, on the pretext of buying a buffalo. On the way, their partner Shivam Yadav also joined them. After reaching the unpaved road of Nicharoli, they executed their plan and murdered the old man.
The court found all three accused guilty on the basis of all evidence and witness statements. Judge Manjusha Tekam has sentenced all three to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 5,000 each.
