Two Men From Rajasthan Held For Duping Trader Of Rs 1 Crore
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The crime branch arrested two men from Rajasthan for duping a marble mining businessman on the pretext of running a business in partnership, police said on Sunday. The accused had used his machines and caused him financial loss of Rs 1 crore.
The complaint was lodged several months ago but the accused were arrested on Sunday, police said. DCP (crime) Rajesh Tripathi said that the businessman had lodged a complaint that two persons named Dashrath Singh and Chhatrabeer Singh, residents of Rajasthan contacted him and asked him to run a business in partnership.
They took machines and cash from him. The complainant informed the police that the accused had entered agreements for mining with other people as well. They had sold the machines of the complainant to a person from Rajasthan without informing him.
The complainant informed the police that the accused had also sold thousands of tons of material from his mine but did not give the share to the complainant and caused him a loss of Rs 1 crore.
A case under sections 409, 420 and 34 of the IPC was registered against them. Acting on a tip-off, the accused were arrested by the crime branch and are being questioned further. The crime branch is trying to recover the money and the machines.
Action Against 535 Criminals, 195 Booked For Drunk Driving
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): During the weekend drive of the Indore Police, action was taken against 535 criminals/anti-social elements in all four zones of the city on Saturday night. Apart from this, 195 people driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol were booked under section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
On the instructions of Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar Singh, the DCPs of all four zones and traffic DCP deployed their teams to check vehicles and patrol the areas. Out of the 1,137 people who were booked for their involvement in different crimes in the city, police took action against 535 as they were still involved in criminal activities.
About 195 people caught driving in an inebriated condition were booked and their vehicles were seized. Three cases were registered against some people for consuming liquor in public places. Police teams executed more than 257 warrants and preventive action was taken against 80 criminals/anti-social elements.
