Indore (Madhya Pradesh): An employee of a broker of cattle feed and his friend cooked a fake story of Rs 7 lakh robbery in the Chhoti Gwaltoli area on Friday. The employee was sent to receive a payment from another trader. He made up the fake robbery story and involved his friend in the crime.  

According to DCP (zone-3) Hansraj Singh, Akash Jain, a resident of Sapna Sangeeta Road lodged a complaint on Thursday that he runs his business in the Navlakha area. He had sent about 189 quintals of cattle feed to a trader in Jodhpur from Jaora on February 22.

He had to receive the payment of the same from a trader of Maharani Road. He had sent his employee Raju Dangi to receive the payment of Rs 7 lakh from the trader on March 4.  

Raju had informed Jain that he was robbed by a masked man at knifepoint when he was coming to office with cash. After that a complaint was lodged with the police.

A police team was constituted for the search of the accused. More than 50 CCTVs of the area were examined and found Raju’s role to be suspicious. He was detained and questioned when he allegedly confessed his crime and informed the police that after seeing cash, he had prepared a plan of robbery and called his friend Vikash alias Vicky Prajapat of Shankarbagh area of the city.

Following the lead given by the accused, police also arrested Vikas from his place. Rs 4 lakh were recovered from Raju while Rs 3 lakh were recovered from Vikas. The accused are being questioned further. Police claimed that they had arrested the accused within 24 hours after receiving a complaint.
