Madhya Pradesh: Two Female Doctors Die In Car Accident In Shivpuri, Four Others Injured |

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic car accident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district on Sunday morning, leading to the death of two women doctors and injuries to four other doctors, the police confirmed.

According to information, the accident took place near Lukwasa village under Kolaras police station. The car was travelling from Ayodhya to Ujjain when the accident occurred.

A car carrying a group of doctors lost control and crashed into a culvert. 

In the accident, a female doctor died on the spot, while another female doctor succumbed to her injuries at the district hospital. 

Four other doctors were injured but are reported to be in stable condition.

Doctor’s group was on pilgrimage

According to reports, all the doctors are residents of Maharashtra. They  were on a pilgrimage. They had started their journey about 15 days ago to visit religious sites in Uttar Pradesh.

The group included Dr. Atul Acharya (55), Dr. Tanvi Acharya (50) from Bhiwandi, Dr. Subodh Pandit (60), Dr. Neelam Pandit (55) from Vasai, Dr. Uday Jodhi (64), and Dr. Seema Jodhi (59). 

Driver dozed off 

After visiting Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the group was heading towards Ujjain for Mahakal Darshan. Around 8:30 am, near Lukwasa village, Dr. Atul Acharya, who was driving the car, reportedly dozed off, leading to the accident.

The car crashed into a culvert on the four-lane highway, killing Dr. Tanvi Acharya instantly. The other doctors sustained injuries and were rushed to the district hospital, where Dr. Neelam Pandit also passed away. The remaining injured doctors are in stable condition.

The police have started an investigation into the incident.
