Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): Three separate road accidents occurred within 24 hours in Bhind district, claiming two lives and leaving four others injured. The incidents took place under different police station areas.
38-year-old dies on the spot
The first accident occurred late at night on Ajnar Road under the Lahar police station area. An unidentified vehicle struck a motorcycle, killing 38-year-old Jagdev Singh Rajawat, a resident of Keshavgarh, on the spot.
His brother-in-law, Dhruv Bhadouria (35), sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Lahar Hospital before being referred to Gwalior.
Two friends on a bike, hit by a vehicle
Shortly after, another fatal collision occurred near the Cadbury factory on National Highway 719 under the Malanpur police station area. Two friends, returning from Gwalior on a bike, were hit by an unknown vehicle. Jeeshan Khan died instantly, while the rider, Asad Khan, suffered critical injuries and was transferred from Gohad Hospital to Gwalior.
Tractor-trolley hits an ice cream vendor
In the third incident, a speeding sand-laden tractor-trolley hit an ice cream vendor and a young woman standing by the roadside in the Nayagaon police station area. Both victims were injured and referred for medical treatment.
The repeated fatalities have once again sparked the controversy around the widening of NH-719 that connects Gwalior to Etawah in UP.
