Siliguri, 19 November (HS). Police of Matigara police station have arrested two accused with a country-made pistol and live cartridges. The names of the arrested accused are Sonam Tashi Tamang and Harsh Kumar Tamang. Harsh Kumar Tamang is a resident of Kishanganj in Bihar while Sonam is a resident of Namchi in Sikkim.
According to police sources, on a secret information late on Monday night, the police of Matigara police station conducted an operation and caught two youths near Chamta Bridge. When the police searched both the youths, a country-made pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from them. After which both the youths were arrested by the police.
According to police sources, both these youths had come to carry out some major incident. The police of Matigara police station has started taking further action.
