Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde has resigned from Fadnavis Cabinet in Maharashtra’s Beed Sarpanch murder case , Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also accepted his resignation. CM Fadnavis said, ‘I have accepted the resignation given by Dhananjay Munde. Now I have sent this resignation to the Governor. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asked Munde to resign from the post of minister after the Valmik Karad, a close of Minister Dhananjay Munde, who was close to Minister Dhananjay Munde in the murder of sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh.
What is the whole matter?
In December 2024, the murder of Sarpanch Deshmukh of Masajog village of Beed created a political storm in the state. The opposition has been surrounded by the state government since the name of Dhananjay Munde’s close friend in this case. Last month, the Maharashtra Crime Investigation Department (CID) filed a charge sheet of more than 1,200 pages in a court in Beed district in two related cases and two related cases.
Deshmukh was kidnapped, harassed and murdered after trying to prevent alleged forced recovery from an electricity company in Beed. Seven people have been arrested in this crime, while the main accused Krishna Andhale is still absconding. The Maharashtra government has appointed the famous lawyer Ujjwal Nikam as Special Public Prosecutor in this case.

In which Karad has been made accused number one. State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Munde is an MLA from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) from Parli in Beed district. Prior to this he was the patron minister of Beed.
