Traditional delicacies vary by region, but kebabs are a popular choice, enjoyed for their rich flavors and aromatic spices. Seekh kebabs, shami kebabs, and chapli kebabs are common, often served with naan, chutneys, and salads. Other festive dishes include biryani, sheer khurma, samosas, and kebabs grilled to perfection. Here are 5 delicious and easy-to-make kebabs that you can enjoy with your family and guests.

Seekh Kebabs

Ingredients:

1. 500g minced lamb or chicken

2. 1 finely chopped onion

3. 2 tbsp chopped coriander

4. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

5. 1 tsp cumin powder

6. 1 tsp garam masala

7. 1 tsp red chili powder

8. Salt to taste

9. Skewers

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and knead into a smooth mixture.

2. Shape the mixture around skewers into long kebabs.

3. Grill or cook on a tawa with a little oil until golden brown.

Shami Kebabs

Ingredients:

1. 250g minced beef or lamb

2. 1/2 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram), soaked

3. 1 onion, chopped

4. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

5. 1 tsp garam masala

6. 1 tsp cumin powder

7. Salt to taste

8. 1 egg (for binding)

Instructions:

1. Cook the minced meat with dal, onions, and spices until soft.

2. Grind the mixture into a smooth paste.

3. Shape into patties, dip in beaten egg, and shallow-fry until crispy.

Hara Bhara Kebabs

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes

2. 1 cup boiled spinach (squeezed dry)

3. 1/2 cup boiled green peas

4. 1 tbsp chopped coriander

5. 1 tsp cumin powder

6. 1 tsp chaat masala

7. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

8. 1 tbsp cornflour (for binding)

9. Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Mash all the ingredients together into a smooth dough.

2. Shape into round patties and shallow-fry until golden brown.

Chicken Malai Kebabs

Ingredients:

1. 500g boneless chicken (cubed)

2. 1/2 cup fresh cream

3. 2 tbsp yogurt

4. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

5. 1 tsp white pepper powder

6. 1 tsp garam masala

7. Salt to taste

8. Skewers

Instructions:

1. Marinate chicken cubes in all ingredients for at least 1 hour.

2. Skewer the chicken pieces and grill or bake until tender.

Chapli Kebabs

Ingredients:

1. 500g minced beef or lamb

2. 1 finely chopped onion/ spring onion

3. 1 chopped tomato

4. 1 tbsp chopped coriander

5. 1 tsp cumin powder

6. 1 tsp garam masala

7. 1 tsp red chili powder

8. 1 tbsp cornflour (for binding)

9. Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients and shape into flat patties.

2. Fry in oil until golden brown and crispy.

Serve these kebabs with mint chutney, onion rings, and warm naan for a perfect Eid feast!
