If you are bored with the same breakfast daily and want to eat some healthy and tasty, then spicy moong chaat is a great option. It is instant, rich in protein and wonderful in taste. The special thing is that if children show tantrums in eating lentils, then they will definitely like the moong chaat made in this way.

Important material:

  • 1 cup whole moong (soaked and boiled)
  • 4 cup pomegranate grains
  • 4 cup sweet corn (boiled)
  • 2 tablespoons of peanuts roasted
  • 8-10 fryed cashews
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 lemon (take out the juice)
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon green coriander (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp cumin (for tempering)
  • 1 tsp ghee or oil
  • Chaat Masala Taste Taste
  • Green and sweet chutney (optional)
  • Namkeen bhujia or boiled potatoes (for garnishing – optional)

Method of preparation:

1⃣ Prepare moong:

  • Soak whole moong overnight and boil in the cooker in the morning. Remove water and keep it aside.

2⃣ Apply Tadka:

  • Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  • Now add boiled moong and fry it lightly and add salt, pepper, chaat masala to it.

Prepare 3⃣ Licking:

  • Add fryed moong to a bowl and add onion, tomato, groundnut, cashew, sweet corn, pomegranate, green coriander.
  • Add lemon juice on top and mix well.

4⃣ Garnishing and Serving:

  • To make the chaat more tasty, you can add green chutney, sweet chutney, namkeen bhujia or boiled potatoes.
  • It can be eaten both hot or cold.
