Washington DC: After taking oath as the 47th President of America, Donald Trump has created a stir by signing more than 80 executive orders simultaneously. President Trump, who returned to the White House after four years, started work from the very first day on Monday and started giving such orders which are affecting America as well as the entire world. The most significant of Trump’s orders is to end automatic citizenship by birth in the US, which will have a serious impact on millions of foreigners, especially Indians, while more than 18,000 Indians will face deportation from the US. Apart from this, Trump has threatened BRICS countries including India against implementing anti-American policy.

US President Donald Trump has started taking controversial decisions as soon as he started his second term. In accordance with his election promises to American citizens, Trump has reversed the mandate of automatic birthright US citizenship. For this, he has also signed the executive order as the President.

This order of Trump has affected millions of Indians. The order specifically applies to people who are in the process of obtaining an H-1B visa or green card. Along with this, Indians living illegally in America for years may also be affected. Trump said that all illegal entry at the southern border will be stopped with immediate effect and preparations will be made to deport millions of people caught at the border. Trump signed an executive order repealing the Birthright Citizenship Act, which states that the federal government will not automatically grant U.S. citizenship to children whose parents came to the country illegally or Came here legally but were living temporarily on US soil

Children born in the United States do not acquire citizenship unless one of their parents is a U.S. citizen, green card holder, or member of the U.S. military. Trump believes that the birthright citizenship law needs to be removed to prevent birth tourism and the influx of illegal immigrants into the United States.

The number of people of Indian origin in the United States is growing significantly, and approximately 4.8 million Indian-American families living there have benefited from birthright citizenship laws. However, Trump’s new law will make family reunification in the US more difficult and make activities such as giving birth there less likely to qualify for US citizenship.

Trump signed a record number of executive orders on Monday to fulfill his presidential campaign promises. Like his predecessors, Trump has adopted an ‘America First’ policy in international affairs in his second term. Along with this, Trump has also threatened the BRICS countries and said that if they try to implement anti-American policies, they will have to face the consequences and they will not be happy. At the end of last year, Trump had threatened to impose 100 percent tariffs on BRICS countries.

Human rights groups started preparing to challenge Trump’s order in court

As US President Donald Trump repealed the birthright citizenship law on the first day of his second term, several human rights groups have prepared to challenge the order in court. Human rights groups say the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution cannot be changed by executive order alone. Therefore Trump’s order will be challenged in court. After this the court will decide whether Trump’s order is valid under the US Constitution or not. The 14th Amendment of the US Constitution gives the right to citizenship by birth. That is, any child born in the US automatically gets US citizenship, whether the parents are US citizens or not.

This law was enacted in 1868 and was intended to give equal rights to former slaves and their families.
