Trucks Overturn, Traffic Snarls Stretch for Kilometers

A major accident occurred early this morning around 6 AM at Talwadi Chowk on the Pune-Solapur highway when a container and a truck collided head-on. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn, completely blocking traffic toward Pune. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though both vehicles sustained significant damage.

According to initial reports, a container traveling from Solapur to Pune was attempting to turn onto Shindavane Road from Talwadi Chowk when it was struck by a truck heading toward Solapur. The collision caused both vehicles to overturn on the road, resulting in traffic coming to a standstill with vehicle queues stretching 5 to 6 kilometers. Commuters and local residents faced significant inconvenience due to the ensuing traffic jam and congestion.

Personnel from Uruli Kanchan Police Station rushed to the scene and immediately began efforts to manage the situation. However, the presence of the overturned vehicles and a large crowd of onlookers had slowed down the traffic restoration process. The police were struggling to regulate the movement due to the influx of curious residents and stranded drivers.

A crane was deployed to remove the overturned vehicles, and the authorities worked to restore normal traffic flow as quickly as possible. In the meantime, commuters were advised to seek alternative routes to avoid the affected section of the highway.
