As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, “National Road Safety Month” is being celebrated across the country. In the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu too, this month is being celebrated with great pomp under the direction of Hon’ble Administrator Praful Patel ji and guidance of Transport Secretary Nikhil Desai.

On this occasion, under the supervision of Motor Vehicle Inspector of Transport Department, Bipin Pawar, a “Blood Donation Camp” was organized in the RTO office premises of Daman today to realize the mantra of “Road Safety-Life Saving”. Organized with the cooperation of the Health Department, this camp was attended by auto rickshaw and taxi drivers of the district as well as common citizens. A total of 40 units of blood from various groups were collected in the blood donation camp. Expressing his views on this occasion, Motor Vehicle Inspector Bipin Pawar said that blood donation is a great donation. Through this, not only do we save a person’s life, but indirectly we also develop a spiritual bond with his entire family. In his address, he also gave information about the blood donation camp to be organized on January 10 at the Red Cross Bhawan in Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the end, expressing gratitude to all the blood donors, he also appealed to spread awareness among people about road safety.
