New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of 7 judges of the High Court. These seven judges include four judges of the Karnataka High Court. The decision was taken in a meeting held on 15 April under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna. The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of judges of seven High Courts, including four judges of Karnataka. The collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna took this decision in his meeting held on 15 and 19 April.

Four judges of Karnataka High Court join

According to the collegium’s proposal, “To bring inclusion and diversity at the level of High Courts and strengthen the quality of justice administration, the collegium of the Supreme Court recommended the transfer of judges of High Courts in its meetings held on 15 April 2025 and 19 April 2025.”

There will also be transfer from these High Courts.

The recommendations include Sending Justice Hemant Chandanagoudar of the Karnataka High Court to Madras High Court, Justice Krishnan Natarajan to Kerala, Justice Nerranhalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda to Gujarat and Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad to Orissa High Court.

Apart from this, the collegium has recommended the Telangana High Court Judge Perugu Shri Sudha to be transferred to Surender and Kasoju Surender alias to Madras High Court. Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge Kumbhjdala Manmadha Rao has been recommended to move to Karnataka.

In early July, the collegium headed by the then Chief Justice DY Chandrachud recommended the transfer of 7 High Courts. Subsequently, the transfer of judges of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Meghalaya and Madras High Courts was recommended.
