Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) has exempted some electric vehicles from driving license and registration. If the maximum speed of an electric two -wheeler is 25 km/h and the capacity of the motor in it is 250 watts or less, then no license or RC is required to drive such a vehicle.
