New Delhi: After the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed in Parliament, the opposition has challenged it in the Supreme Court and some Muslim organizations, including the All India Personal Law Board, have warned of nationwide protests. At such a time, Ram Navami is being celebrated in the country on Sunday. Hindu organizations have obtained permission from the Calcutta High Court for not getting permission to take out the procession on the occasion of Ram Navami in West Bengal. After this, the state president of the BJP claimed that one and a half crore Hindus would take to the streets to celebrate Ram Navami, after which high alert has been declared in the entire state. Even in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has ordered the police to remain alert.

On the occasion of the festival of Ramnavami, Lord Ram’s procession will be taken out in the entire country including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Recently, police have been kept on high alert in all the states keeping in mind the attacks on Ram Navami processions in these states.

This year, Hindu organizations filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court after the police refused to allow the procession for the procession in West Bengal this year. The High Court has given permission with certain conditions. BJP state president Sukant Majumdar has said that the festival of Ram Navami in Bengal has been celebrated for thousands of years. I congratulate everyone on this festival. I also want to say that no obstacle will be tolerated during the procession. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has claimed that this year 1.5 crore Hindus will take to the streets to celebrate Ram Navami and more than 2,000 processions will be taken out in West Bengal.

Sources said that more than 60 processions are likely to come out in Kolkata alone. Kolkata Police has deployed more than 3,500 personnel to maintain law and order in the city. Additionally, these processions will be monitored by Deputy Commissioner and Joint Commissioner level officers. Drone and CCTVs have also been deployed to monitor the procession, while quick response teams have been deployed in sensitive areas like Antali, Kashipur, Khidirpur and Chitpur. Senior police officers have also been assigned to inspect the areas of other districts of the state including Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, Asansol.

Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has kept the police on high alert. The state government has given permission to take out a procession on traditional routes. A procession has not been allowed on any new route. Chief Minister Yogi has instructed the police to take strict action against any kind of chaos. Drone will be used to monitor the routes of military parade.

Like Mahakumbh, Ayodhya, the city of Lord Rama, has also been made immense on the occasion of Ram Navami. Apart from the police force, special forces have also been deployed from Ram temple to Saryu river. Ram Navami has been organized in Ayodhya on a large scale. To make this festival historic, more than two lakh lamps will be lit in Ayodhya, which will illuminate Pucca Ghat and Ram’s Paidi in front of Ram Katha Park.
