Virat Kohli holds practice session with Sanjay Bangar: After 13 years, former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli will make a Ranji Trophy comeback at the Arun Jaitley Stadium next week. This match will be Delhi’s last group match against Railways. Kohli is making a comeback in domestic cricket under the rules announced by BCCI recently. Under this rule, all Indian players have been asked to play domestic cricket. Kohli could not perform anything special in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Due to which questions started being raised about his future.
Kohli’s special practice session with Sanjay Bangar
During this series, Kohli often got out while playing the ball outside the off stump. Now to correct this mistake, Kohli has taken the help of former bowling coach of the Indian cricket team, Sanjay Bangar. Sanjay understands Kohli’s game very well. Kohli could not play the match against Saurashtra due to back pain. But in the meantime he took part in a special practice session with Sanjay Bangar. Sanjay made Kohli continuously study the ball coming from above.
Kohli’s excellent form during Sanjay’s tenure
When Sanjay Bangar was the bowling coach of the Indian team, Virat Kohli was a sensation in the cricket world. Kohli scored 80 international centuries from 2014 to 2019. Sanjay scored most of these centuries when he was the coach of the team. But after Sanjay’s tenure, Kohli scored only two international centuries. After the 2019 World Cup, Sanjay’s tenure ended and he was replaced by Vikram Rathore as the bowling coach. It remains to be seen how much success Kohli’s partnership with Sanjay Bangar will bring in Ranji Trophy?
