Kanpur, 02 October (HC). One -third of the land should be covered by one -third of the forest to meet the socio -economic and environmental needs of the country and the state. But due to the needs for food security and nutrition, 20 to 22 percent of the forest land was used due to industrial development, an odd situation arose for the environment. This was stated by Kaushal Kumar, Professor of Faculty Faculty of Chandrashekhar Azad Agriculture and Technology University Kanpur on Wednesday on the occasion of Forestry New Year.

He said that planting of multi -year tree species is very important under agricultural forestry to maintain the balance of environment. Therefore, along with forest planting, forest security was emphasized.

On this occasion, special guest former department president Dr. HP Chaudhary explained the importance of forest conservation and environmental balance in detail. Principal Faculty Faculty Dr. Munish Kumar highlighted the comprehensive approach of Forestry New Year 2024 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Program convenor Dr. Sarvesh Kumar compared tree plants to Lord Vishnu, stating religious importance. And said that it follows us. Protection of trees is necessary for life on earth.

On this occasion, Dr. Pooja Sharma, Dr. Dharmendra Shah, Dr. Vikas Singh and students gave their views underlining the importance of trees.
