Mahakumbh is going to start from January 13 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. During Mahakumbh, the flow of devotees again turns towards Kashi. In such a situation, a huge crowd of devotees will gather in Kashi. Keeping this in mind, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Administration has made changes in the daily aarti of Baba Vishwanath keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the devotees. The timings of daily Aarti in the morning, afternoon, evening and night have been changed.
Aarti timings have been changed
According to the temple administration, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple has changed the timings of Mangala Aarti, Midday Bhog Aarti, Saptarishi Aarti and Shayan Aarti by 15 minutes each during Mahakumbh. Apart from this, Saptarishi Aarti to be held on Mahashivratri has also been canceled this time. The doors of the temple will remain open on the day of Mahashivratri but the scheduled Mangal Aarti will not be performed the next day.
Aarti is performed five times
Five aartis of Baba Vishwanath are performed daily in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Baba Vishwanath is awakened by Mangala Aarti in the morning. The doors of the temple have opened. There is Bhog Aarti in the afternoon, Saptarishi in the evening, then during Shringaar Aarti, devotee Baba is bathed with Ganga water, milk, curd and other things and he is adorned. Then devotees perform Shayan Aarti at night to put the Lord to sleep.
Change in daily aarti timings
Mangala Aarti- Mangala Aarti will be held from 2.45 am to 3.45 am during Mahakumbh. Whereas on the day of Mahashivratri, Mangala Aarti will be held from 2.15 am to 3.15 am. There will be no Mangala Aarti on the second day of Mahashivratri.
Midday Bhog Aarti
The time of afternoon Bhog Aarti has been changed from 11.35 to 12.15.
Saptarshi Aarti
Baba’s Saptarishi Aarti will take place from 7 to 8 pm. There will be no Saptarshi Aarti on Mahashivratri. Saptarshi Aarti will be held from 6.15 am to 7.15 am on Paush Purnima.
Shringar Bhog Aarti
During Mahakumbh, there will be Shringaar Bhog Aarti from 8 to 9 pm.
Shringar Bhog Aarti will not be performed on Mahashivratri.
sleeping aarti
Shayan Aarti will take place from 10.30 pm to 11 pm.
During Mahakumbh, Shayan Aarti will be held from 10.45 to 11.15 pm on Monday night.
